Cloudflare Inc. convinced the Patent Trial and Appeal Board to review the validity of a data transmission patent—one of several patents Cloudflare has put a “bounty” on.
Cloudflare, a San Francisco, Calif.-based software company, showed claims in Sable Networks Inc.’s U.S. Patent No. 6,977,932 are likely invalid because they were made obvious by earlier inventions, the PTAB said in a Tuesday decision.
