Cleveland Medical Sues ResMed on Sleep-Disorder Tech Patents

Cleveland Medical Devices Inc. alleges that ResMed Inc. sells a range of devices and software for testing, treatment monitoring, and adjustment of sleep-disordered breathing or apnea, infringing eight patents for the technologies, according to a federal lawsuit it filed in Delaware.

CleveMed’s suit targets ResMed products among its home-sleep-testing and positive-airway-pressure solutions, according to a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.

ResMed’s solutions use its software and data management platforms provided to customers, including AirView, Rescan, myAir, U-Sleep, Brightree, and its AirMini app, the suit says. Each of the platforms receives data from ...
