ClearOne Inc. beat a rival’s infringement suit over a design patent related to video-conferencing equipment, following a trial in Delaware federal court.
The jury decided ClearOne didn’t infringe Shure Inc.’s U.S. Patent No. D865,723, covering a ceiling array microphone. Shure’s patent is also invalid, jurors in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware found, according to the Wednesday verdict.
The suit is part of a broader dispute between the rival companies. ClearOne has sued Shure in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleging patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation.
