Cisco, Microsoft Are the Latest Sued Over Sensor System Patent

Sensor360 LLC sued Cisco Systems Inc., Microsoft Corp., and Siemens Corp. in a patent assertion campaign in Texas alleging infringement of a patent covering sensor modules used to detect temperature, humidity, and motion.

The Cisco Industrial Asset Vision, Microsoft’s operational technology or enterprise internet of things network sensors, and Siemens SIMATIC RTLS Real-time locating system utilize similar methods as that covered by US Patent No. 8,510,076, according to separate complaints filed Nov. 25 in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
