Cisco Fails to Bump Some Products From Networking-Patents Case

A federal judge rejected Cisco Systems Inc.‘s bid to remove from a lawsuit more than a dozen networking products that have been accused of infringing the signal-processing patents of an Israeli university’s business arm.

Judge Gregory B. Williams denied Cisco’s motion to strike 15 products from Ramot at Tel Aviv University Ltd.’s final infringement contentions, finding “Cisco has not carried its burden to show that Ramot’s identification of new products was untimely,” in an opinion issued Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
