Cisco Slips $371 Milllion Server-Management Patent Suit (1)

Cisco Systems Inc. doesn’t infringe claims in a server-management patent owned by cloud services company Egenera Inc., a federal jury in Massachusetts found Monday.

The jury upheld the validity of Egenera’s patent but cleared Cisco of liability for allegedly copying the claims. Egenera told the court it was seeking more than $371 million in damages.
