Computer experts laid the foundation for a high stakes case Wednesday between Cisco Systems Inc. and Centripetal Networks Inc. as their virtual patent trial opened after a few technical glitches.
The bench trial in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia is being conducted over Zoom. The public has access to the audio of the trial, where a judge will consider whether Cisco routers and other products infringe several Centripetal network security patents.
