Cirba’s Bid to Reinstate $236 Million Patent Verdict Rejected

Cirba Inc. failed to persuade a federal judge in Delaware to reinstitute a $236 million jury award that the software company won in a patent infringement trial against VMware Inc., then lost when the verdict was vacated.

Additionally, VMware filed a motion in US District Court for the District of Delaware on Friday seeking to compel Cirba to produce documents it alleges have been improperly withheld in discovery for the new trial scheduled for April.
