Autel Robotics’ U.S. Patent No. 7,979,174 is invalid because it covered an invention that would have been obvious to an inventor skilled in the subject matter, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board determined. The ‘174 patent involves the regulation of an autonomous vehicle’s speed and movements.
