Children’s Museums Settle Trademark Suit Over Minimalist Decor

Competing children’s play museums settled a trademark-infringement lawsuit over their all-white, minimalist interior aesthetic.

Play Street Museum’s owners, PSM Holdings LLC and PSM Worldwide LLC, reached an agreement with Chicky Play Museum, according to a May 16 docket entry in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington. The settlement comes almost three months after the court denied Chicky Play’s motion to dismiss, finding the similarities between the museums “unmistakable” despite minor differences.
