Chicago IP Lawyer Fights Back in 7-Eleven Trademark Skirmish

The Chicago attorney accused of improperly trading on the 7-Eleven convenience store chain’s goodwill and reputation told a federal court she’s not changing the name of her Seven Eleven Law Group LLC because she’s not fooling anybody.

“There is no likelihood of confusion between” the retail chain’s trademarks and hers, attorney India Rios said in a Nov. 29 filing in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
