Charter Says Former Executive Took Trade Secrets to Competitor

Broadband and cable company Charter Communications Inc. sued a former executive, accusing him of breaching non-competition covenants and misappropriating trade secrets when he took a job with direct competitor Metronet.

Prashanth Myla, who was the vice president of IT device activation at Charter, on 15 occasions accepted grants of restricted Charter stock and stock options, “which were conditioned upon his agreement to the terms and conditions,” according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Connecticut.
