Charis Engineering Owes $8 Million in BCCK Trade Secret Suit (1)

Charis Engineering LLC owes fellow oilfield-services company BCCK Engineering Inc. $8.4 million in a trade secrets dispute concerning the construction of nitrogen rejection units.

Charis willfully misappropriated BCCK trade secrets, a Midland, Texas, jury found in a verdict released in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas’ public docket Thursday. Charis owes $3.75 million in compensatory damages and $4.65 million in exemplary damages, the jury determined.
