Sales of artificial intelligence-powered tools to the federal government have resulted in nearly $2 billion in procurement annually in recent years, and vendors will have to navigate new rules and policies addressing the technology.
President Joe Biden signed an executive order Monday to establish security and privacy standards for AI technology, including efforts related to future contract opportunities and existing programs that could prioritize acquisition of AI tools, such as the Technology Modernization Fund.
