Ceribell Hits Competitor With Patent Lawsuit Over Wearable EEG

Ceribell Inc. accused Natus Medical Inc. and two of its units of infringing six patents related to its rapid electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring system.

Ceribell pioneered a wearable EEG system that allows for rapid detection of seizures and other neurological conditions, filling an unmet need in acute care settings, it said in the complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. Ceribell said its patented system was launched in 2018 and has been widely adopted, with over 550 hospitals now using it.
