Centripetal Cybersecurity Patent Survives Validity Challenge

Cybersecurity company Centripetal Networks LLC successfully defended one of its patents against a rival’s administrative challenge Wednesday, the latest development in a legal battle that has included accusations of judicial conflicts of interest and frivolous lawyer argument.

Centripetal has sued the challenger, Palo Alto Networks, as well as Cisco Systems Inc. and Keysight Technologies Inc. for infringement of a family of network security patents in the Eastern District of Virginia.
