Caterpillar Expands Bobcat Patent Clash With New Complaints (1)

Caterpillar Inc. filed patent-infringement complaints at the US International Trade Commission and in Delaware federal court seeking to block imports and US sales of Doosan Bobcat Inc.'s construction equipment, expanding a dispute already spanning multiple venues.

Caterpillar’s complaints, both filed Tuesday, allege that various Bobcat telehandlers, excavators, compact track loaders, skid steer loaders, and wheel loaders infringe US Patent Nos. 8,515,637, 9,133,837, 9,347,554, and 10,059,341. The patents cover machine-control systems for heavy equipment that help manage engine power, shifting, and fuel efficiency.
