Case: Trademarks/Summary Judgment (N.D.N.Y.)

A federal district court in New York granted PMA Mechanical LLC’s motion for summary judgment on Grasshopper Gardens Inc.'s action for trademark infringement, unfair competition and false designation of origin, and various state law claims, related to a lawn care logo. According to the court, PMA failed to raise a genuine issue of material fact with respect to the likelihood of confusion with Grasshopper Garden’s “Grasshopper” mark and design for riding power mowers.
