The Ninth Circuit reversed and remanded the decision of a federal district court in California granting online party and event planning service AJ Press LLC summary judgment in news publication Punchbowl Inc.'s trademark infringement action relating to the use of the name “Punchbowl.” The appeals court said that AJ Press’s use of the mark isn’t immune from the traditional likelihood of confusion inquiry.
