A federal district court in Pennsylvania granted Student Painters-Michigan LLC a default judgment and injunctive relief in its action against Student Painters Inc. for trademark infringement, unfair competition, false designation of origin, and cancellation of trademark registration, relating to the use of the “Student Painters” mark. The court said that Student Painters-Michigan adequately stated claims for trademark infringement and unfair competition, that its proposed default judgment is warranted, and that it’s entitled to permanent injunctive relief.
