A federal district court in California denied Shift4 Payments LLC and its founder’s motion for a preliminary injunction under the Anticybersquatting and Consumer Protection Act, in this action for cybersquatting, defamation, false light and business disparagement against Cloudflare Inc., JaredIsaacmanCourtCase.com, and owners and operators of three websites. According to the court, the founder’s personal name is unlikely to be a mark entitled to ACPA protection.
