Case: Trademarks/Injunction (E.D. Cal.)

July 31, 2019, 5:12 PM UTC

Bravado International Group Merchandising Services Inc., which is the exclusive licensee of performing artist Shawn Mendes’ registered trademarks, isn’t entitled to a preliminary injunction to enjoin unnamed defendants from selling counterfeit merchandise at Mendes’ concerts. The record falls short of identifying any of the alleged bootleggers, despite the court’s temporary restraining order affording Bravado the time to gather such information. And Bravado therefore hasn’t shown a likelihood of success on the merits or a likelihood of irreparable harm in the absence of injunctive relief, nor has it met the requirements for its requested seizure order. The case is Bravado Int’l Grp. Merch. Servs., Inc. v. Doe, 2019 BL 282449, E.D. Cal., 2:19-CV-01274-KJM-CKD, 7/29/19
