Case: Trademarks/Descriptive Marks (N.D. Cal.)

A federal district court in California granted Peloton Interactive Inc.’s motion for summary judgment on World Champ Tech LLC’s trademark infringement claim. The court held that World Champ’s registered “Bike+” mark was descriptive as a matter of law. And the court found no evidence of actual confusion among consumers and the two parties didn’t advertise their products in the same marketing channels.
