CVS Pharmacy Inc.'s motion for a temporary restraining order, in CVS’ action against a former employee for violations of the Defend Trade Secrets Act and the Rhode Island Uniform Trade Secrets Act, was denied by a federal district court in Washington. The court found that the record weighs against the entry of a TRO because CVS has not made a clear showing that it will succeed on its claims or that it will suffer irreparable harm in the absence of a TRO. Additionally, the court did not find that the balance of equities or the public interest favors CVS.
