The District of New Jersey granted Paramount Residential Mortgage Group Inc.’s motion to dismiss Nationwide Mortgage Bankers Inc.’s unfair competition counterclaim with prejudice, because New Jersey unfair competition law only encompasses passing off, unprivileged imitation, and tortious interference. The court found that Nationwide’s unfair competition claim fell outside the scope of New Jersey unfair competition law and thus failed to state a claim for relief.
