A federal district court in Illinois granted in part and denied in part a former employee’s motion for summary judgment on Taylor Made Express Inc.’s action for trade secrets misappropriation, violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, breach of duty of loyalty, fraud, and conspiracy. The court said that TME failed to take reasonable efforts to maintain secrecy of its alleged trade secrets, and failed to show a loss greater than $5,000 as required by the CFAA.
