Case: Trade Secrets/Procedure (C.D. Cal.)

A federal district court in California granted the Regents of the University of California’s motion to dismiss Agensys Inc.’s trade secret misappropriation claim for lack of standing. The court found that Agensys didn’t own the trade secret at issue after being acquired by Astellas Pharma Inc. And the court denied the regents’ remaining motions to dismiss as more appropriately resolved on a motion for summary judgment.
