Case: Trade Secrets/Procedure (5th Cir.)

The Fifth Circuit affirmed the decision of a federal district court in Texas granting Kellogg Brown & Root LLC judgment as a matter of law and vacating a jury’s $75 million damages award in Trinseo Europe GmbH’s trade secret misappropriation action. And the appeals court granted Trinseo summary judgment on its alternative misappropriation of confidential information claims, denying Trinseo’s motion for a new trial, and entering a permanent injunction.
