A federal district court in New York granted Amazon.com Inc. and Amazon.com Service LLC’s motion to dismiss Select Research Ltd.'s action for misappropriation of trade secrets and ideas, breach of contract, and additional claims, relating to patents for 3-D body imaging involving use of a body volume index. According to the court, Select Research didn’t state claims for trade secrets and idea misappropriation, breach of contract, fraud, unjust enrichment, tortious interference, and conversion.
