A federal district court in Florida granted in part and denied in part Freedom Legal Plans LLC’s motion to dismiss Veritas Legal Plan Inc.'s action for unjust enrichment, breach of contract, trade secrets misappropriation, tortious interference, unfair trade practices, and civil conspiracy. Veritas brought suit for violation of the parties’ non-compete clause, alleging that Freedom Legal stole its training documents and poached its clients and affiliates. The court dismissed the claims for unjust enrichment action and civil conspiracy and otherwise denied the motion.
