The district of Puerto Rico dismissed Phoenix Co.’s trade secret misappropriation claim against Rock Solid Technologies Inc. and an individual, for failure to adequately allege the existence of a trade secret. The court found that Phoenix’s allegations didn’t distinguish between matters of general knowledge in the trade and the particularities that make its software a trade secret, and said that Phoenix’s access codes to its software couldn’t qualify as a trade secret.
