A federal district court in California denied CDK Global LLC’s motion for a preliminary injunction in this copyright infringement and trade secret misappropriation action against Tekion Corp. and InDesign Data LLC for illicitly entering its dealer management system to extract CDK’s proprietary data. The court said that CDK failed to make a clear showing of irreparable harm, and granted InDesign’s motion to dismiss CDK’s Stored Communications Act, tortious interference with business relations, and unfair business practices claims.
