A federal district court in Tennessee denied Freedom Capital Group LLC’s motion for a preliminary injunction with regards to its trade secret misappropriation claims against Blue Metric Group LLC, Blue Metric RV Park Fund LLC, Bayberry RV Park LLC, and several individuals, on the grounds that it wasn’t likely to succeed on the merits. The court held that the claimed trade secrets were primarily publicly available information and didn’t derive independent economic value from not being generally known. And the court said that Freedom failed to take adequate steps to protect the confidentiality of its claimed secrets.
