The Federal Circuit affirmed in part, reversed in part, vacated in part, and remanded the decision of a federal district court in Michigan on trade secret misappropriation and breach of contract damages, in Versata Software LLC, Versata Development Group Inc., and Trilogy LLC’s action against Ford Motor Co. The appeals court vacated the district court’s judgment on trade secret damages and remanded for a new trial, reversed the district court’s judgment and reinstated the jury award as to breach of contract damages, and affirmed the district court’s denial of Ford’s motion for JMOL on liability for trade secret misappropriation.
