A federal district court in New York denied Apple Inc.'s motion to transfer Varia Holdings LLC’s action for infringement of patents that relate to the use of nearfield communication and radio-frequency identification communication. The court said that Apple failed to meet its burden to show that transfer to a federal district court in California is warranted.
