A federal district court in North Carolina granted in part and denied in part Voltage LLC and Ningbo Voltage Smart Production Co.'s motion to dismiss Shoals Technologies Group LLC’s action for infringement of patents that relate to assemblies for connecting solar panel arrays to an inverter, as well as unfair and deceptive trade practices and unfair competition. The court determined that Shoals failed to sufficiently state claims for unfair and deceptive trade practices and unfair competition, and said that the patent claims aren’t subject to dismissal at this stage.
