The district of Nevada denied Light & Wonder Inc. and LNW Gaming Inc.'s motion to stay discovery in Evolution Malta Ltd.'s patent infringement and trade secrets misappropriation action relating to roulette products, pending a ruling on Light & Wonder and LNW’s motion to dismiss. The court said that it’s not convinced Light & Wonder and LNW will prevail on compelling arbitration of Evolution Malta’s trade secrets claim. And the court determined that whether Evolution Malta’s claims are subject to a licensing agreement won’t be determined by the pending dispositive motions.
