A federal district court in California granted Favored Tech USA Corporation, Jiangsu Favored Nanotechnology Co. Ltd., and GN Audio USA Inc.'s motions to dismiss P2i Ltd’s patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation claims involving electronics surface coatings. The court said that P2i failed to identify its purported trade secrets with sufficient specificity, many of its purported secrets are publicly known, and the cause of action is untimely. And the court determined that P2i failed to establish induced infringement, contributory infringement, or willful infringement.
