Case: Patents & Trade Secrets/Attorneys’ Fees & Costs (Fed. Cir.)

The Federal Circuit vacated in part, remanded in part, and dismissed in part the decision of a federal district court in California awarding costs in International Medical Devices Inc. and Menova International Inc.'s action for infringement of cosmetic implant patents, misappropriation of trade secrets, counterfeiting, and breach of contract against Augmenta LLC, Cornell Cosmetic Urology LLC, Hans Mische LLC, Huck Medical Technologies Inc., and several individuals. The appeals court vacated and remanded the district court’s award of costs and dismissed International and Menova’s cross-appeal for attorneys’ fees.
