A federal district court in New York adopted a U.S. magistrate judge’s recommendation to grant in part and deny in part Noble Security Inc. and an inventor’s motion for summary judgment on their action against ACCO Brands Corporation for infringement of patents that disclose computer security locks for trapezoidal security slots. The court granted the inventor summary judgment, and granted ACCO summary judgment as to the non-infringement of one patent due to implied license, and lack of willfulness.
