The Federal Circuit affirmed the decision of the District of Massachusetts that Cisco Systems Inc. didn’t infringe claims of Egenera Inc.'s patent that discloses that conventional server systems must be manually deployed or reconfigured to be adapted for a specific use or application. The appeals court affirmed the district court’s grant of summary judgment of noninfringement of two claims, and its denial of Egenera’s motions for judgment as a matter of law or a new trial on two claims.
