The Federal Circuit affirmed the decision of a federal district court in California that Hulu LLC didn’t infringe a claim of Sound View Innovations LLC’s patent that discloses methods and apparatuses that reduce network latency while increasing the quality of media streamed to the devices of end-user customers. The appeals court said that the district court erred in its construction of a claimed term, but correctly construed the claim to require a specific order of operation.
