Case: Patents/Summary Judgment (Fed. Cir.)

The Federal Circuit affirmed the decision of a federal district court in California granting Akamai Technologies Inc. summary judgment on its action seeking a declaratory judgment of invalidity of AMHC Inc. and MediaPointe Inc.'s patents that address systems and methods for efficiently routing streamed media content over the Internet. The appeals court determined that the judgment of invalidity was correct in view of the intrinsic record, and that the district court didn’t err in granting summary judgment of noninfringement.
