Case: Patents/Summary Judgment (Fed. Cir.)

The Federal Circuit vacated and remanded the decision of a federal district court in California granting Apple Inc. summary judgment of noninfringement on Taction Technology Inc.'s action for infringement of patents that relate to tactile transducers that produce bass frequency vibrations for perception by touch. According to the appeals court, the district court abused its discretion by striking Taction’s expert’s infringement opinions, and it erred in construing asserted claims.
