A federal district court in Tennessee granted HydraFacial LLC’s motion to lift a stay issued prior to an International Trade Commission investigation determination, in this action against Aesthetic Management Partners LLC and Aesthetic Management Partners Inc. for infringement of patents that relate to skin resurfacing and rejuvenation systems. According to the court, continuing the stay isn’t warranted because even though the case is in its early stages, HydraFacial will suffer undue prejudice if the court continues the stay, and there is no guarantee that the administrative proceedings will simplify the case.
