A federal district court in Texas granted Apple Inc.'s motion to dismiss with prejudice Fintiv Inc.'s action for infringement of a patent that discloses a system and method for managing a mobile wallet, after granting summary judgment of noninfringement as to some claims, and after Fintiv filed a subsequent notice of dismissal of remaining claims. The court permitted Apple to reserve its right to seek costs, expenses, and attorneys’ fees associated with this action, and canceled the current trial setting.
