A federal district court in Ohio granted Mareiners LLC’s motion for leave to file an amended complaint adding claims for breach of a patent license agreement’s implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and a claim for correction of inventorship, in this action against Anomatic Corporation for infringement of a patent for a method for applying images to surfaces. The court said that Mareiners was sufficiently diligent; that its amendment doesn’t stem from any undue delay, bad faith, or dilatory motive; and that Anomatic didn’t show how it would be prejudiced by the amendment.
