A federal district court in New York granted American Express Company and American Express Travel Related Services Company Inc.'s motion to dismiss Loyal-T Systems LLC’s action for infringement of patents directed to systems and methods for administering customer loyalty programs. The court determined that Loyal-T failed to allege plausibly that the Amex Plenti and Membership Rewards Programs infringe its patents.
