The Federal Circuit denied an inventor’s petition for mandamus seeking to transfer or reassign this patent infringement action to ensure reliable docket access after the District of New Jersey revoked his privileges for filing documents electronically, after finding he had abused the system and burdened the clerk of court with numerous filings that are not capable of being docketed. The appeals court said that the inventor didn’t show a clear and indisputable right to file documents via electronically, or that post-judgment appeal is inadequate.
