The Federal Circuit affirmed the decision of the District of Delaware granting BASF Corporation summary judgment of invalidity of claims of Ingevity Corporation and Ingevity South Carolina LLC’s patent that describes and claims systems and methods for reducing emissions from a car’s gas tank. The appeals court affirmed the district court’s denial of JMOL and upheld the jury verdict of antitrust liability and damages.
